The Daisy Basket

Welcome 🙂

I’ve spent my sewing time this week end finishing my Basket quilt which has now been renamed the Daisy Basket quilt as a nod to the original Daisy quilt whose leftovers it was made from!

Lots of photos to celebrate a finish 🙂

Yoyos to hopefully disguise the fact that the setting triangles are a different dye lot to the rest of the back ground fabric.

Pretty mother of pearl heart buttons tied into place with Pearl Cotton.

Labelled with more yoyos and buttons.

I’ve now pulled my EPP quilt from the WIP pile and am looking forward to a bit of hand quilting in between wedding sewing 🙂

I’m linking this post up to Esthers WiPs on Wednesdays.

  1. Hi Chris. It really is gorgeous, lovely summer colours, just in time for all that lovely summer weather!! She says rather hopefully 🙂 The mother of pearl hearts look lovely especially when they catch the light. I hope your wedding sewing goes well, how long have you got left? take care. Sharon x

  2. So pretty! It looks lovely, and really, no one is going to notice that different dye lot.
The mother of pearl buttons really set it off beautifully. Great result!

  4. Beautiful finish Chris – a lovely quilt. Those heart buttons are perfect to finish it off. Why don’t you link your EPP to Anthea’s Piece yourself Together – there is a link to her on my blog. xx
