Welcome lovely people 🙂
This week was my Ladies Wot Sew group and one of our lovely members brought a mini project for us all to have a go at – an elf boot 🙂
Apparently it is a tradition in Northern Germany for children to leave an elf boot outside their door the night of December 5th . St Nicholas fills the boot with gifts and sweets overnight, and at the same time checks up on the children to see if they were good, polite and helpful during the last year. If they were not, they will have a tree branch (Rute) in their boots instead.
This is what we made…
I shall put the pattern on my tutorials page in case any of you want to have a go at getting some sweeties from St Nicholas 😉
Thanks J and P for teaching us and providing the materials for us to make this splendid boot 🙂 I love my friends 🙂
Until next time,
