It all started last week with a jokey comment while I was flicking through a magazine I’d been lent.
‘I’ll expect to see those paper snowdrops made by next week’ says my pal, and, do you know, I couldn’t resist having a go at making a couple during the week.
They’re made from florists wire, florists tape and crepe paper, a bit sticky and fiddly and definitely not what I’d normally make but hey it’s good to step outside your usual skill set every once in a while isn’t it?
I decided I’d try to ‘encourage’ my pal to make one too this week when she came to our Thursday sewing group, in fact we all had a go and this is what we made
Now I’m wondering if these could be made from fabric? Something else to try this week!
Until next time,
Chris x
this is so cool.. looks like the real snowdrop.. 😉
Hi Chris, your flowers are just lovely, but I think you’re breaking copyright laws by publishing the instructions like that.
Thanks Wendy, I hadn’t thought of that. I’ve removed the instructions now.
So pretty and so much better than picking real snowdrops!
Lovely! At first I thought they were real flowers! 🙂
These are lovely Chris, I am sure with the right stiffener you could definitely make them out of fabric.
Love them! I bet they’d look pretty in fabric…Chrissie x
So sweet. I love snowdrops, we have a small persistent patch of them that bloom every year. Next to pansies, they’re my favourites.
