Lots of Blessings

Today I spent the day with three lovely friends visiting the Duxford Quilting Show which is held at the Duxford Imperial War Museum. Of course we didn’t go to see the aeroplanes but we did notice that many (and I do mean many!) husbands were heading off to the Museum while their wives were visiting the quilting show 🙂 What a brilliant venue, something to keep everyone happy!

There were of course the usual trade stands and I was lucky to find most things on my long list of bits and bobs to buy – which included wadding and backing for my Daisy Chain quilt, so whenever I feel the urge to start quilting I can 🙂 .

The quilts on display were lovely, as they always are, but the following quilts really caught my eye. They are all by a talented lady called Jane Hopkins.

Textured Circle – loved the variety of fabric manipulations in this piece.

I feel very blessed to have spent a day with good friends being inspired by talented quilters, so that’s another ‘blessing’ to put in my jar 🙂

Have a great week end.

Until next time,

Wow! What awesome & creative quilters!! How they come up with the plan to put these together is awe inspiring. Thanks for sharing these pictures. Glad you had a great time and got the items needed to keep quilting. 🙂

  2. I think the textured quilt was on display at Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, it was amazing. It sounds like the organisers have definitely done their homework with the venue 🙂
