On Sunday it is the Christian church’s birthday – Pentecost.
I had hoped to make a couple of banners but after making the Easter banners I simply wasn’t inspired to make them for Pentecost too (maybe next year 🙂 ).
My church has circular candle holders which hang down over the congregation and in the past we have had paper doves hanging from these.
But after seeing this picture (link here)
I thought it would be rather cool if flames were hung from them instead – as if the flames were over the members of the congregation.
I found an origami leaf pattern which looked like a flame and asked our church youth to make lots of them.
